Polka Dot Pedestrian Plaza in Silver Lake
They just closed off Griffith Park Blvd. at Sunset near the triangle park where they have Silver Lake Farmers' Market. They have painted the street green with acid green polka dots. It's kinda insane.
The local cafe owner told me that she tried to get LA Dot to have local artists paint the street so that they would have pride for the park. They dismissed her and painted these polka-dots instead. Each one of those circles looks like an open canvas to me!

Morley's Scavenger Hunt
I ran into Nomatterwhatness this morning. He just got back from participating in Morley's scavenger hunt and collected quite a few nice pieces! They are metallic paratroopers with signs that carry special messages from Morley. I love the one that says "When you sleep we all cease to exist".

Silver Lake Resident Asks for Apology from Street Artist
I'm not here to judge people's art, I just record what I see objectively as possible. I've never seen someone write a note to a street artist and post it on a telephone pole. I saw this handwritten note from a Silver Lake resident (I'm assuming) scrawled on a piece of cardboard (from a Nomatterwhatness stencil) yesterday at Sunset Junction. It reads:
you owe the entire Silvelake community an apology! including the sidewalks, the walls, & even the trees. I'd like to call it "art" but it really isn't... No Matter Whatness is an eye it's vandalism
