LA Street Art, Sky's the Limit
Today at noon in Los Angeles, street art took life on a new canvas. Not the streets, but the sky. Planes made circles around LA today releasing puffs of smoke, making graffiti tags in the sky with clouds. The clouds spelled out some of the biggest names and brands in LA street art scene. Tributes went up for those past and surrent players like Saber, Seventh Letter Crew, Mad Society King, Juxtapoz, Upperplayground, and the advertising of Obey. Saber even threw up his Twitter handle.

DTLA Artwalk
Last night the Downtown LA Artwalk was business as usual, with a few good happenings and a parade of police. LAPD flooded the streets in cars, bikes, boots and atop horses. Homo Riot got down in the window of LACDA. Man One reinvented the spray can as we know it at Crewest. Mobile Mural truck buzzed around with the LA VS. WAR murals on it's side. (I later stopped by Vortex Gallery to get a sneak peak at the LA VS. WAR show opening today).

Robbie Conal goes Blackletter & White
LA's political street artist, Robbie Conal, goes blackletter along with his gnarly illustrations. He makes commentary on America's "health care" system with "Wealth Care" and goes across the Atlantic for some Rupert Murdoch, the spy who was bugging peoples phones to gather information for his personal use.
Stand up for yourself. Let your voice be heard in government and don't let your civil liberties be violated by government and corporations.
